Eight Great Liberators

Eight Great Liberators

Have your students discuss and debate the contributions of eight different historical figures who fought for independence across Central and South America. You’ll compare two revolutionaries, then vote on which made the greater contributions. Eventually, you’ll determine one class favorite as your champion!

Teacher TipTo extend the activity, have your students research the figures independently before casting their votes. Use the Eight Great Liberators Sheet if you’d like!

To take it even further, have your class research other liberators in Latin America, and discuss which of them you would most like to have seen included.

Awesome…it’s what you do!!!
