Lesson 2: Veterans through the Ages
Lesson 2: Veterans through the Ages
Help your students understand our Veterans’ role in history with this tiny tour of US history from the Revolutionary War to right now (1770s - 2020s)!
First, assign students to either the History, Military, or Technology sections of the Veterans through the Ages Fact Hunt (Answer Key). Then, have them work individually or in small groups to use their prior knowledge to answer each question. When groups are finished, show them the Veterans through the Ages film (4:36). As they watch, have them update their Fact Hunt by crossing out incorrect answers and adding correct information. When you are done, have students form groups so that each section is represented to share their answers and what they learned. Finish by discussing the Veterans through the Ages Reflection Questions (Answer Key)!
